This project entailed the development of six engaging skill based digital training modules (Infection Control: Hand Hygiene, Patient Safety: Sepsis, Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS), Behavioral Health: Depression Screening and Awareness, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) in Nursing Homes, Overview of Basic Quality Management Tools in Health Care) that require minimal staff time for key competency development for new and existing nursing and clinical support staff. I was brought in to lead the design and development process, as well as research and implement an LMS (SCORM Cloud) and LRS (Veracity) for reporting and analytics.
Pilot data results showed a marked improvement between the pre- and post-test scores of those who completed the training, proving the content and delivery to be effective. Furthermore, pilot participant feedback on the training's effectiveness demonstrated that a large majority of users agreed or strongly agreed that the content was engaging and preferred over pre-existing training on these same topics. Leadership have noticed positive changes in behaviors in metrics after completing the training.
